Clement, this is a great article. My congratulations to Malawi. I’m happy to hear that more countries are looking towards ethanol vehicles. It is a pity, you cannot send someone to Brazil. I think Brazil has achieved more that other countries when it comes to green vehicles! Maybe Malawi scientists can contact scientists in Brazil to exchange experience via e-mail. I mean, you don’t have to actually go to South America.

Given all other factors are equal, rank the alternative fuels in the order of that which you would most like to see offered by all automakers and it’s fuel component offered at all gas stations? Just recently, I learned that most modern cars that are using on board computing systems, could for a small fee (I think under $500 US) can be converted to use ethanol. When I heard about this, my natural question was, “Yeah, but where am I going to get the ethanol?” (I live in rural area.) Well, apparently, there are simple make at home systems for generating your own ethanol much cheaper than gasoline.
