This book is a very useful tool and about the cost, finding sponsors and donation can definitely cover some of the expense. This dictionary can help and will go a long way for breaking the language barrier in the near future.

I really appreciate this kind of good work in Africa. Please add more information regarding this aspect. Keep your good work and help the dictionary project to find more donations and sponsors.

Yes a digital version on the internet would be nice. However, making one is costly and in general the main target group, i.e. pupils of Malawian and Zambian schools would have no access to it. On the other hand, in general those who have access to the internet and consequently to an electronic version, would also be able to buy a copy of the printed version. Nevertheless, in due time we may be able to include the dictionary on our website.

I find this dictionary useful and helpful. And is there any kind of electronic version of it which can be compatible with PC?

Dear (potential) users of the CE-EC Dictionary!

Some respondents have complained about the price of the dictionary. Is the dictionary expensive? Objectively, no, because the cost price, MK 1000/ Euro 4, is relatively low. Subjectively, yes, having in mind the numerous Malawians and Zambians who are unable to buy the book, especially when they have to buy from bookshops, who of course need to make profit. However, the majority of the books are distributed for free to pupils and teachers through their schools. Others are sold at cost price to ngo's, educational bodies and other organisations that pledge to hand the books for free to their pupils, workers, or relations. These sellings of the dictionary are very welcome, but they cannot cover all the costs. The gap is covered by donations from sponsors. If printing, free distribution and selling at cost price is to continue, we need more sponsors. That is why we call upon all (potential) users of the dictionary. Please, do not complain about the price that some have to pay. But help the dictionary project by finding donations and sponsors.

Well is very unfortunate because most of the ppl which are in need of this dictionary cant afford it. Here is where some gouvernamental entities must go in and resolve this situation. The book is very good but what is the use if cant be used ... :(
