On the other hand, in general those who have access to the internet and consequently to an electronic version, would also be able to buy a copy of the printed version. Subjectively, yes, having in mind the numerous Malawians and Zambians who are unable to buy the book, especially when they have to buy from bookshops, who of course need to make profit. However, the majority of the books are distributed for free to pupils and teachers through their schools. Others are sold at cost price to ngo's, educational bodies and other organisations that pledge to hand the books for free to their pupils, workers, or relations. These sellings of the dictionary are very welcome, but they cannot cover all the costs. The gap is covered by donations from sponsors. If printing, free distribution and selling at cost price is to continue, we need more sponsors. That is why we call upon all (potential) users of the dictionary. Please, do not complain about the price that some have to pay. But help the dictionary project by finding donations and sponsors.
