@Jeremy: Strange that such a thing occurs, isn’t it? Just imagine if a earthquake of such magnitude where to hit a ‘rich’ capital of the world, the media attention would for sure be a hundred times more than in some poor “third world” country.

Anyway, it’s always a fantastic thing to help such unfortunate fellow humans in this hour of extreme need. My heart always melts when I see any group coming together at times like these.

It seems to me like some earthquakes take more media attention than others. Earthquakes as well as other dire situations in Africa are not getting enough attention when compared with some other, less serious, disasters in other parts of the world.
