Global Health Corps (GHC), an organization which aims to mobilize a global community of young leaders to build a movement for health equity, is receiving applications for GHC Fellowships, Class of 2010-2011.Fellowship positions are available in Rwanda, Malawi, Burundi, and Newark, New Jersey, USA.
Students graduating from college in 2010 or those who have finished their undergraduate studies and are currently under age 30 are eligible. English proficiency is desired. It seems only citizens of Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi and USA are eligible.
Fellows will be selected in May 2010 and begin their training in July at Stanford University’s Summer Training Institute. Fellowships are a 13-month commitment. Jobs range from computer science to monitoring and evaluation to health counselling.
GHC will provide stipends to cover all travel, living and work expenses for the duration of the fellowship. GHC will also provide mentorship, training, and community support. Application deadlines are March 1, 2010 for US positions and April 1, 2010 for non-US positions.
